Following a new initiative offered by The National Apprenticeship Service – The Queens Hotel and Spa has recruited an apprentice starting on 29th March 2010.
‘We recognise the particular difficulties facing young people in the current economic climate and we want to support them and ensure that we are training a new generation for economic recovery and to add to our skill base.We welcome Jemma to our team at the end of the month who i am sure will bring many benefits to our organisation’ – David Burr – GM
On 8th March 2010 we received the news that our percentage score from the AA has increased. Still rated an AA 3 star hotel, the percentage increase within the report has been due to some key factors. The refurbished bathrooms and bedrooms which were completed in 2009 were noted and praised, as were the upgrades to the reception area. Also noted was the cleanliness through-out and of course the addition of ‘Forever Gorgeous’ Day Spa and Clinic which enhances our guests stay and is a huge asset to the hotel. Thank you to everyone who worked hard in 2009 to make our continued standards not only remain high, but increase in the eyes of the AA.
