We will be taking the plunge in April and several members of staff have agreed to take part including our General Manager David Burr, Deputy Manager Andrew Stoddart, Conference & Sales Manager Richard Brown to name but a few!

We will be updating reguarly on how the fund raising is going and will post a link so that if you would like to make a contribution you can.

So keep watching the skies! :-)

Did you know that each and every day 10 families are told their child has cancer or leukaemia?

Contributions help CLIC Sargeant contunie supporting these families, as the only charity that offers all round care and support UK wide. Thats because they’re there…caring every step of the way:

During treatment – Providing specialist nurses, doctors, play specialists, Homes from Home

In hospital & at home – Offering specialist social care and family support

In the community – Providing specialist youth services, holidays, grants, helpline

After treatment – Helping survivors, supporting those bereaved, research into treatments and causes

Any donations can make a difference such as:

£1.50 – Puts cancer and leukaemia into words that young children can understand, in a set of three colourful storybooks written escpecially for children under 10

£20.00 – Helps buy several blood sample kits that CLIC Sargent Nurses can use on a home visit, saving a family making a round trip to hospital for a simple blood test.

£50.00 – Means that a CLIC Sargent Social Worker can be there soon after diagnosis, talking to a family one to one. Every family is different, so we assess their individual needs and tailor our services to suit them.

£100.00 – Means a young person who has (or had) cancer or leukaemia can go on an activity weekend. After months in hospital it helps them restore self-confidence, ragain independence and rebuild a social life.

We at The Queens Hotel and Spa will be working hard this year to make sure we raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity.
