We are proud to have supported The Bournemouth and District Aircrew Association since the 1980’s. General Manager of The Queens Hotel and Spa, David Burr, has been heavily involved in the Air Crew Luncheons held at the hotel, and we feel honoured to have been able to host these events.
On Sunday 6th June the Air Crew will hold their Valedictory Luncheon at The Queens Hotel. These noble and courageous men refuse acknowledgement for their bravery, but we would like to take this opportunity to thank them wholeheartedly for all they have done.
They have taken the decision to close Association, says Des Curtis DFC because, “Our numbers are declining because younger members of the RAF and Fleet Air Arm are not joining organisations like ours. We have chosen to close our association with dignity.”
The Queens Hotel and Spa, David Burr and all the staff will continue to support the Association going forward, and we hope their Valedictory Luncheon is a huge success.
David Burr has put together a special Sunday Lunch offer for any Air Crew wanting to continue coming to the hotel. For further information about this, you can call us on 01202 554 4515 and ask to speak to David Burr.
