General Information

What are the check in and check out times?

Rooms are guaranteed from 2pm on the day of arrival and the check out time is 10.30am on the morning of departure.

Can you book me a Taxi?

There is a free taxi phone in reception for your convenience.

Are their any pubs or restaurants near by?

Yes there are many pubs and restaurants within a ten minute walk. Please ask at reception for recommendations.

Can reception help me book shows and advise on days out?

Yes, our reception staff will be pleased to help you in any way they can.

Can I bring my pet ?

Yes, with managers prior permission. A small supplement is charged, please ask when making your booking.

Where can I park while staying at the hotel?

Hotel car parking is provided on a first come first serve basis. There is roadside parking available near by if our car park is full.

Do you offer a double room for single occupancy?

Yes. A supplement is charged, please ask when making your booking.

How many rooms do you have?

We have 109 bedrooms which are a mixture of doubles, twins, singles and family rooms, and of course the Bridal Suite. Please ask when you make you booking if you have any concerns regarding suitability.

Is room service available?

Yes, we provide room service facilities. Sandwiches are available 24 hours a day. The lounge menu is available between 11.30am – 2.00pm and 5.30 until 8.30pm.

Are cots available?

Yes, we have cots available, please ask when making your booking.

Families & Children

If a twin is booked for an adult and child does the child pay a full rate?

The child is charged at 50% of the adult rate if they are under 14.

Are babies considered as an occupant?

Yes, babies are considered as an occupant and are charged at the normal child rate.

Is there a baby listening service?

No, in the interest of safety we do not provide this facility.

Are their age restrictions when using the pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room?

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, children under 16 years are not permitted in the steam and sauna rooms.

At what age is someone considered an adult?

For accommodation charges, young people over 14 years are considered as an adult. The leisure club regards people over 16 years as an adult.

Is there a children’s menu?

Yes, we provide a children’s menu for our young guests.


When is the restaurant open?

Breakfast: Mon-Fri 7.15am until 9.30am. Sat & Sun 8am until 9.45am.
Lunch is served in the lounge; 11.30am – 2.00pm.
Dinner: 7.00 until 8.30pm.

What type of breakfast is served?

A buffet breakfast is provided.

Is there a children’s menu?

Yes, we provide a children’s menu for our young guests.

Do you cater for vegetarians?

Yes, we do cater for vegetarians and those with special requirements, please speak to reception when making your booking.

Can non residents eat in the restaurant?

Yes, non residents are very welcome to eat in the restaurant, booking is strongly advised to avoid disappointment.

How Far is it to….

How far is it to the beach ?

Its about a 5 minute walk to the cliff top and just a few minutes to the beach. The East Cliff Lift (small charge) is situated on the cliff top at the end of Meyrick Road, which is only a few minutes walk away, and this operates between Easter and October every year. Using this to access the beach can shorten the time even further.
There are also Land Trains that run between Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers and Bournemouth Pier and Alum Chine. For more details, including running times and fares etc. please see the council web site.

How far is to the town centre?

You can walk to the town centre in about 15 minutes, or take a 5 minute taxi ride. The most scenic way to the town centre is to walk down to the pier (10 minutes along the cliff top) and then stroll through our beautiful Bournemouth gardens (take as long as you like!). There are many taxi ranks in Bournemouth so getting a taxi to the hotel with your shopping won’t be a problem. It is also possible to catch a bus in to town, its less than a 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop. If you prefer to drive, there are plenty of town centre car parks. Please ask at reception for advice about getting around Bournemouth.

How far is it to the BIC (Bournemouth International Centre)?

You can walk to the BIC in about 15 minutes or drive in 5. The BIC has its own multi storey car park and there are various other car parks very close by.

How far is it to the Travel Interchange from the hotel?

Around a 5 minute taxi ride.
