Bournemouth is something of a golf lovers mecca. With many courses within easy reach, the dedicated golfer will have no problem in finding a challenging course to suit their ability.
Bournemouth has many golf courses, most are available on a pay and play basis and there are many more in outlying areas.
Meyrick Park - A beautiful course (Par 69), with a recently refurbished club house. Within easy reach of the hotel and town centre.
Queens Park - No handicap required, but a challenging course (Par 71). Municipal, well kept course.
Bulbury Woods Golf Club - Pay and Play (Par 71), on the outskirts of Poole. Visitors are unrestricted although they do have a dress code.
Crane valley Golf Club - Pay & play, handicap certificate required to play the 18 hole course. Suitable golfing attire must be worn.
Canford Magna Golf Club - Pay & play, 3 courses (two 18 hole & a 9 hole). Between Bournemouth & Wimborne.
Moors Valley - Pay & play, par 70/72 + 4 hole pitch & putt. Everyone welcome - book online.
Dorset Golf & Country Club - Lakeland/Parkland and Woodland courses are built to full USGA specification
Iford golf centre - Two courses (18 hole Par 72 & 9 holes par 27) and a driving range - just turn up and play, a relaxed atmosphere. On the outskirts of Bournemouth.

If you don't feel up to a championship type course why not try the Solent Meads Par Three Golf Club (par 54) and driving range at Hengistbury Head - great for a relaxing afternoon or morning with the family - Council run and anyone can play. Alternatively you can try the friendly Parley Golf Centre - 9 holes and driving range near the airport.
