This is our fifth successive year at The Queens Hotel and it is still excellent both for food, service and friendliness of staff.

As usual, we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Queens Hotel and have booked to return. It is easily the best hotel we have stayed in. Staff are always friendly, helpful and welcoming. The atmosphere is most enjoyable.

To everyone at The Queens, Just wanted to let you know how Rosemary, Penny, Mark and myself enjoyed your lovely hospitality and service last weekend. Our whole holiday weekend in the Bournemouth area was enhanced by your relaxed and friendly staff, your great food and the room itself. It was, as it states on your brochure, quite simply" 'comfort by the sea!". All of us will definitely be returning soon. Dave Wilson, Flimwell, East Sussex

We recently married in Bournemouth and booked the Queens Hotel for our reception. The Manager was extremely helpful in assisting us with all the arrangements and planning. On the day we were welcomed to the Hotel with a glass of champagne each and a room that was very clean and well laid out. The food was fantastic, tasty and plenty of it. The room was prepared for the evening reception and the evening buffet was again very tasty and enough for everyone. The Bridal suite was complimentary with the reception booking, complete with a four poster bed and a bottle of champagne. The breakfast was very tasty and plenty of it. We would highly recommend this Hotel as a wedding venue and reception venue. Mr and Mrs P & K Beard

"Award winning Food" South Gloucestershire Mar 16, 2008 Just returned from four nights at The Queens. It is just yards from the overcliff. Easy to walk into town, or East towards Hengisbury Head, or West towards Sandbanks. Brilliant suite, lovely bathroom, loads of hot water for bath and shower. Enjoyed the swimming pool and the steam room. Visited the Aquarium in town - that was very impressive. Visited the Russell Coates Museum - a short walk from The Queens - some very interesting exhibits and a lot of delightful paintings. Having been to The Queens before, we have been asked why we went back. The anwer is simple. It is a very well run Hotel, charming staff, and Award Winning Food. If you cannot get a room at the Queens, then make sure you book a table for your evening meal. We loved the Suite and the food and we and we didnt like having to come home!

My husband and I have just organised a function for over 100 people at The Queens Hotel in Bournemouth. The management and staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The dining room was beautifully decorated to suit the occasion. The food and service were first class. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and have already booked my next function. Jennifer P

We recently had our company Christmas Party at the Queens Hotel. Everything was handled with a professional manner from the organisation prior to the night and the service we received once there. The food was fantastic and served quickly. There were plenty of staff who all new exactly what they were doing. Everyone was really friendly and went out of their way to make sure that we all had a good evening. The hotel provided a disco which was first class. A number of people stayed over and all had large, clean rooms, mine had a very comfortable bed which is not always the case in hotels! The breakfast the following morning offered plenty of choice and the cooked breakfast was perfect. I would definitely reccomend this hotel and will be booking next years party there.

We have just returned from a operating a Christmas coach holiday to The Queens Hotel. We have stayed in many hotels throughout the world on a personal basis. . This was our first time as driver and courier with a large group of people. The Queens Hotel made our job very much easier, we found everyone from the maids/bar/restaurant and management staff to be excellent, all very helpful, friendly and understanding of our customers needs. (And ours of course) The food provided is amongst the best we have had. The chef and his crew did a magnificent job over Christmas. The entertainment laid on was enjoyed very much by all. Thank you to all of you for your quality of service provided. Happy New Year..

Miss H Colwell I recently traveled to the UK from Melbourne, Australia to visit good family in Bournemouth and stayed at the Queens Hotel which had been recommended by family. I have traveled many countries and I felt compelled to write a review about this particular accommodation due to the amazing service and fantastic stay I had. The restaurant was phenomenal and the service was incredible. It was also reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and the hotel had a welcoming feel. The facilities were above and beyond others within the same price range and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi were greatly appreciated! I liked the location, as its very close to the beach (which is paramount for an Aussie!) The hotel had a very relaxed vibe and the staff were welcoming, helpful and enthusiastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing for a quality stay at a reasonable price, lots of facilities, nice staff, good food, nice wines and a great atmosphere.

'Found a Great Hotel in Bournemouth' I would just like to say what a wonderful time we had at the Queens Hotel in Bournemouth. Everything was great - the rooms, the food, the location. We will definitely be going back and we would recommend it to anyone. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable!

I have just returned from a long weekend at the Queens Hotel. The food and service was as good as you could find in any 5* hotel. Some rooms were better than others but all were spotlessly clean. There is a small garden or a lovely comfortable lounge, if the weather is not so good, to take tea or something stronger. There were children in our party who were catered for without any fuss. We also asked for rooms near the lift for a couple of 'seniors' who are less mobile which was arranged with no trouble. All in all we had a brilliant time in a brilliant hotel!

My partner and I had our joint 50th party at the Queens Hotel. We had a brilliant evening. Nothing was too much trouble and the Manager kept in touch with arrangements up until the evening. He was also there during the evening keeping a watchful eye. Everyone commented on the lovely buffet. When the car park is full there is parking across the road which the staff are happy to direct you to. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a hassle and stress free party!

I chose the Queens Hotel as the flagship for the staging the Bournemouth Airshow. It was really well placed overlooking the promenade and housed all of the key players in running the event, additionally the availability of WIFI proved essential for maintaining communications during the airshow. The staff coped admirably with the unusual requirements that this presented with odd meal timings and surges of groups all arriving at the same time to be fed. Meals were of a really high standard and the waiting staff were both smart, friendly and extremely attentive throughout. The pool and spa facilities of the Queensbury Club offered a chance to relax tired feet from the wonderful walks back and forth along the seafront and never felt busy. As a result of the quality of the hotel and warmth of the staff I personally invited my family to come for days of the Bournemouth Airshow. It is not every hotel that can boast of being child-friendly and the staff were not in the least concerned by the additional noise and speed of my terrors! All in all the staff and the hotel were fabulous.

A fantastically friendly and accommodating staff...We held our staff conference at the hotel in June this year. It was a fantastice success due to the very friendly and helpful staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. All of the rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was fabulous with a good choice of menu. Excellent value for money and we shall certainly be returning next year!

I was with a Bridge Holiday group that apparently stays regularly at the Queens Hotel. This is the fourth year in a row I have been there. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel for all the right reasons. Food and courtesy of all staff. As far as the restaurant is concerned, I think most 3* venues have two or three choices per course. The Queens has five including a vegetarian option plus a la carte and they do not charge a fortune for a decent bottle of wine. The restaurant manager and staff will give you the impression that you are staying at a class establishment. Over the years I have been told that most of the 108 bedrooms have been refurbished and that this is like the Forth Bridge in that redecoration is never ending. Choose between front or side facing, garden view or back view. Some rooms have balconies and you would have to be on the 4th floor to catch a sideways view of the sea as it is one block back from the shore. The rooms would benefit from modern televisions with freeview or selected Sky channels. Only 4 analogue channels are available but they do have teletext. You will not be disappointed.

Having just stayed elsewhere at a dreadful hotel, I was feeling very jaded. The Queens changed all that. We didn't realise it was Bournemouth Air show weekend and everywhere was packed and booked. We wanted one nights Band B. A few places wanted to charge full adult rates for my 10 year old. The Queens charged £20 and were a good deal cheaper than the other greedy hotels at this time. The Room was large, airy pleasant and CLEAN! I had a glorious balcony and we used the pool and spa. The staff were FANTASTICALLY attentive. They went out on a limb to help my 10 year old with RAF/aircraft memoribilia and nothing was too much trouble. I liked it here a lot and wouldn't hesitate to come back. Great value for money. Food great. Staff great. Location great. Well done Queen's.

We have just returned from a four nights at the Queens and really enjoyed our stay. Our rooms were clean and fairly recently refurbished - bedlinen superb and changed daily. Our sons (18 & 16) enjoyed the leisure suite/gym and we all welcomed the pool/sauna. The breakfast was excellent and all the staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Would certainly stay again. Situated a short walk from the Town centre - but wouldn't have wanted to be any closer!! 2 minutes to cliff top and walk or lift down to beach.
