Are you and your colleagues busy working over Christmas?  Don’t worry we are organising Christmas Parties in January.  All the atmosphere , energy and attention to detail that we put into our December parties.   Cost effective menus – January is the time to do it!   Have something to look forward to in the New Year.

Valentines Day falls on a Tuesday in the leap year of 2o12, a wonderfully romantic day to get married. February 14th is still available as a wedding date here at The Queens Hotel.  Week day weddings are cost effective and all of your guests will love the romanticism of marrying on Valentines Day.

Saint Valentine’s Day, commonly shortened to Valentine’s Day,[1][2][3] is an annual commemoration held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions.

Or the year for the lady to propose on February 29th.

Are you looking for a Xmas Break – look no further.

We have an amazing package here at The Queens Hotel and Spa in Bournemouth.

Private Murder Mystery Evenings Available at The Queens Hotel
Our team of professional actors will come to the venue of your choice with costumes and props and enact a murder. We will all meet for pre-dinner drinks for half an hour in a room other than the main dining room.We then go through to the dining room and the rest of the event lasts for a couple of hours …on average. We do not eat with you and the scenes take place around the courses. We are very good at choosing when to act and when to let you eat! We recommend that the group is split into teams on separate tables.

Keep an empty place setting on each table so each character can visit teams for questioning.

At the end of the evening each team guesses whodunnit and why.

The General Manager at The Queens Hotel and Spa has written to customers concerned over Trip Advisor reports as follows:-

It would be my pleasure to inspire you with more confidence in choosing The Queens Hotel & Spa in light of your recent encounter with Trip Advisor.

While I embrace the concept of a being able to inform travellers of the merits of various destinations Trip Advisor credibility is poor. Being in the industry I am awash with horror stories of Hotel clients using Trip Advisor for blackmail, of rivals destroying their competitors’ reputations, and of PR companies being employed to enhance totally unsuitable properties, the list of abuses is extensive.

Further to the flaw of questioning the integrity of the review on Trip Advisor, this is made easier since comments can be posted in total anonymity.

It may be of interest to you when an utterly obvious and unfair remark has been posted by someone who quite clearly has not stayed at the Hotel, Trip Advisor will not remove the offending review and instead the establishment has to respond using the message forum. This means the illegitimate comment stays on the site.

Duncan Bannatyne described Trip Advisor as ‘despicable and cowardly’ when they refused to remove a review made about his 5 star luxury Charlton House spa resort in Somerset, when it was referred to as being similar to Fawlty Towers.

I will reiterate how highly I regard customers having information to help them with their choice of booking a holiday or making a dinner reservation, I dine out and take holidays too! Nevertheless, the unscrupulous nature in which Trip Advisor is operated and is manipulated by establishments and the absolute power it gives has tarnished its usefulness

The seaside is not only the place to be in the summer, here in Bournemouth there are lots of things going on all year round.  No sleepy seaside winter town feeling here!   We have a theatre The Pavilion showing Jack and the Beanstalk, starring Chris Jarvis and Debra Stephenson.  The dates are:

Saturday 3 December 2011 to Monday 2 January 2012.

The Queens Hotel and Spa has a fantastic package available for you to relax, put your feet up and be spoiled.
